are the "new post pending" icons (the orange notes) lighting up for other people on the individual topics? They light up for me on the whole forum, but when i click on the forum, all the topics are white (no new posts).

Whatsup with that?

I found that also at first... i think its to do with the fact that the forums are now embedded in the rest of the page - something to do with tracking sessions or something.

A fix is to open the forum directly in its own window.

use http://www.freeorion.org/forum

I haven't noticed that yet. Can you tell me the exact steps you follow to see that behaviour?

Same here.

Theres another phpBB forum i use which does the same thing : here.

Its also embedded as a part of a main page. No other phpBB forum does this to me, so i assume that its part of the way phpBB track user sessions via browser windows. Or somesuch.[/url]

I've noticed that if you log in under http://freeorion.org/, then if you visit http://www.freeorion.org/ that it doesn't log in until you click a link that changes your URL. It could be that it's not recognising you as being logged in.

Try using http://freeorion.org/ as your main page, see if that helps.

I find that even if you goto http://freeorion.org/, clicking on the log in button takes you to a site starting with http://www.

Also the auto log on only works partially. When I turn the computer off and on, or restart I have to re login.

I changed it a few weeks back so that it should work properly now. The official address is http//www.freeorion.org now.
