In-game chat

I started playing FreeOrion with my friend through Internet.
Unfortunately I fill a little bit lonely, when I cannot say a world to my in-game enemy
I think adding a simple chat so you could send a simple message, would be a good idea.
In the future it could be a mean of diplomacy between several people.

It's been planned for future developement. I think that's planned for V0.5.

Chat is implemented:
1) Press enter.
2) Type message.
3) Press enter again.

Edit: This is mentioned in the v0.3 Quick Play Guide, buried way down in the Galaxy Map section. It's also mention in the Manual more easily-to-find.

The chat color needs to be brighter than the player color. Make it much lighter, and then give it a drop shadow with the player color, I'd recommend. I was blue and it was totally unreadable...

I have never been in multiplayer but have found a way to chat in-game by typing in the messages box (I apologise if I am not saying the right name...it's the window that says things like "begin turn 1")I typed into it.I don't remember right now...will post if I can say it more clearly.
