I suggest switching to visual studio 2010, as the 2008 project files are not up to date.

If you want to keep using the older version, you'll need to add and possibly remove a few files from the FreeOrion project... GLClientAndServerBuffer.cpp needs adding, and there appears to be a problem with tech tree layout stuff, though I'm not sure specifically what needs to be done to fix it.

If the files aren't being maintained because FO is no longer supporting VStudio '08, they should probably be removed, or at least come with a warning.
I was using '08 because that's what I have installed; if I'd known, I would have just installed '10 and not bothered anyone about it.

The 2008 files are usually fairly up to date, though I've been rather busy the last month or so and not updated them. That said, 2010's been out long enough that I might remove the 2008 files "soon" regardless.
