The following features have been PASSED and are scheduled for implementation. It is very unlikely that anything in this thread will change, but it's not entirely impossible.

Galaxy Generation and Star Types: Galaxy generation will be performed according to Drek's model at http://www.drektopia.com/startypes4.htm. The functionality of specials is not included in this feature (although it may be at a later date).

Population Caps, Growth, and Migration: Details according to the model here: http://www.drektopia.com/popcaps.htm. Much of this (the exact cap numbers and the population growth formula) will be highly mod-able and thus subject to future review as needed.

Starlanes will have a bunch of options and I won't go into detail here; this thread will be completely redone after v0.2 specs are released to be a more complete feature list.

With the transition of the requirements doc to the Wiki, this thread no longer really serves a purpose, so I'm closing it.

It is no longer accurate as of the release of the v0.3 design doc.
